Lady Mustangs clinch regular season district title

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lady Mustang’s softball team won against the Lady Sarasota Sailors Thursday night, 7-1 which earns them first seed in the district tournament. Today is game day for the Lady Mustangs at the Ranch against Bishop Verot, ranked #2 in the state in 4A. Junior Madi LoCastro hit a home run in the third inning and Freshman Avery Goelz it a home run in the second inning of last night’s game.

Lady Mustangs’ season ends in overtime

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Tuesday night, the LRHS girls basketball team was taken down in overtime by the Gulf Coast Sharks in the regional semifinal, 92-82. LRHS girls varsity basketball head coach Tina Hadley told HT-Preps, “All I can say is I’m proud of my girls. They played tough.”. The girls were down two starters due to injuries, and LRHS senior LaDazhia Williams fouled out with 22.2 seconds remaining, making her unavailable to the team in overtime.

Seven Mustangs commit on National Signing Day

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Wednesday Feb. 1, National Signing Day, was a big day for seven Mustang seniors as they committed to play collegiate level athletics. Fischer said, “I was very excited. Peer turoring now available on Wednesdays

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS is changing the schedule for its new peer tutoring program. Peer tutoring can help with homework and studying for tests of all subjects. Tutoring will now be offered Wednesdays after school from 2:10-3 p.m., as well as on Thursday mornings from 7-7:30 a.m. These meetings will take place in room 308, located at the back of the cafeteria.

Homecoming posters going up already

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS students will be allowed to start hanging homecoming court posters outside of the 500 building starting Monday, Sept. 26. Posters must include the student’s first name, last name, and grade. Four girls and Four boys will be elected from each grade to serve on the Homecoming court.

Mustang boys basketball takes a shot at fundraising

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS boys basketball team is doing its sixth annual free throw shoot-a-thon fundraiser. This is a fundraiser that allows people to pledge a certain amount of money per free throw made. The players participating in the fundraiser will be shooting their free throws on Sept. 28.

FFA brings home awards

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Last week LRHS FFA members competed in the Sub-district Contest, sweeping every contest except one, which they tied for first but ended up second in the tie-breaker.
